Terms of Use

Varavil · Last updated 7 November 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us about using Varavil. Please read them. By creating an account or using Varavil you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

Varavil is operated by Bharanikumar Ganesan (registered business name GANESAN BHARANIKUMAR, trading as Varavil), No. 13, Plot No. 288, Devi Seemathaman Nagar, Pallavan Nagar Extension, Maduravoyal, Chennai 600095, Tamil Nadu, India ("we", "us"). "You" means the person or business using Varavil.

2. What Varavil is

Varavil is business software that runs in your web browser, with your books stored on our servers (see the Privacy Policy). It lets you raise GST invoices and keep your books, reads the unpaid-invoice list you give it and shows who owes you, keeps the quotations and enquiries you enter so none is forgotten, drafts reminder messages for you, and shows what changed from month to month. Varavil drafts; you decide and you send. Varavil is not a lead-generation service: it does not find, buy, sell or supply leads or customer lists, and every customer, quotation and enquiry in it is one you enter or import yourself.

3. Your account

You need an account to use Varavil. Give a correct email address that you control and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement for yourself or for the business you represent.

4. The free trial

A new organisation (your first company) has a free trial of 30 days, counted from the day you created it, with the Varavil Collect screens (see section 5) and up to 3 users, with no card needed. The first 7 days need no PAN; after that, to keep adding or changing things during the rest of the trial, the owner registers the company's PAN once (see section 5). A PAN can be registered for one company only. When the trial ends, what you saved stays on our servers and stays readable and downloadable, but adding or changing anything pauses until you choose a plan. Nothing is deleted.

5. Plans

Each plan covers one company, with one free seat for your auditor or chartered accountant. A company is tied to one PAN, and every GSTIN you add to it must carry that PAN; a different PAN needs its own company and plan.

Varavil Collect covers one GSTIN and 3 users (the owner counts as a user; the first auditor you add does not). It is for sending GST invoices, keeping simple books, following up who owes you money, and following up quotations that went quiet.

Varavil Books is our full accounting plan, for 3, 6 or 10 users and any number of GSTINs of the company's PAN. It is not yet on sale; we will tell you in the app when it is.

Prices are shown in the app, per month or per year. The operator of Varavil is not registered for GST, so no GST is added to these prices. If that changes, we will say so in the app, and GST will be shown before you pay. An extra user can be added for a monthly price (shown in the app: ₹99 on Varavil Collect, ₹499 on the other plans). A plan is for your own business (a firm's plan for managing many clients' companies will be described separately when it is available). You may not share a sign-in between people, resell the service, or try to get around the limits of a plan.

API keys. The owner of a company may make API keys in Settings so that the company's own website or tool can read its follow-up lists and send in new enquiries, quotations and customers (never to change or delete a record or to make an invoice). What a key sends in waits for a person who can write the company's books to take it in. You are responsible for what is done with your keys: keep them on your own server and never in a web page, and revoke a key you think has leaked. Keys have rate limits, which are shown in the API guide. We may stop a key, or all of them, that breaks the limits, harms the service or others, or is used for anything unlawful. The API guide is at https://varavil.in/legal/api.html.

6. Paying and renewing

7. Refunds and cancelling

8. Your data and your backups

Your books are stored on our servers, as the Privacy Policy describes, and you can download a readable copy at any time. You are responsible for keeping your password safe, for the people you let sign in with it, and for keeping the accounting records the law requires of your business. We keep daily backups of the database for 14 weeks so that we can recover the service from our own fault or a disaster; they are not a way for you to undo your own changes, and we do not promise to restore individual records from them. Download a copy of your books regularly.

9. What you may and may not do

You may use Varavil lawfully, for your own business, with data you are entitled to use. You may not: copy, resell or share your sign-in or plan; reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the service or its plan and seat checks; use Varavil to harass, threaten or mislead anyone; or use it in a way that breaks the law.

10. Messages you send

Varavil writes drafts. You choose whether to send a message, what it finally says and who gets it, and you send it from your own account. You are responsible for the messages you send and for following the rules that apply to your communications with your customers. We design the drafts to ask politely and never to threaten or state anyone's legal position, but you must read them before you send them. Varavil does not contact your customers. It does send you a short morning email saying who needs a follow-up; you can turn it off in Settings.

11. Figures and suggestions are not advice

Varavil calculates and suggests from the data you give it. Rankings, reasons, interest figures and anything described as a potential recovery are calculations and opportunities, not promises that money will be received, and not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. They do not state anyone's legal position. Check anything important with your own accountant or lawyer. Varavil does not file returns, issue e-invoices through any government portal, or give investment advice.

12. Availability and changes

We work to keep Varavil available, but it depends on services we do not control and we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Varavil needs an internet connection to open and save your books. We may improve, change or retire features; if we make a change that takes away something you paid for, we will tell you and we will refund the unused part of your plan.

13. Our property

Varavil, its design, text and code belong to us or our licensors. Your plan lets you use it, not own it. Your data remains yours.

14. No warranty

Varavil is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranty of any kind, including that it will meet your needs, be free of errors, or produce a particular result such as a particular amount recovered.

15. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows: (a) we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of data; and (b) our total liability to you for anything arising from Varavil is limited to the amount you paid us for your plan in the 12 months before the event. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

16. Ending

You may stop using Varavil at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms or misuse Varavil, telling you why where we can. On ending, we delete your books from our live database as the Privacy Policy describes, so download a copy first; sections that by their nature continue (including 13 to 15 and 18) continue.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters we will tell you in the app and by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Varavil after that, you accept the new terms. The date at the top shows when they were last updated.

18. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to us first so we can try to sort out any problem in good faith. If that does not work, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction.

If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not insist on a right straight away, we have not given it up. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Varavil.
